Community Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Voucher Program

To apply for spay/neuter vouchers, please click on the following link:

https://new.shelterluv.com/form/community/FFRR/18496-spay-neuter-voucher-2025

It is more important than ever to have your pets spayed/neutered (fixed). Animals are being euthanized at alarming rates all over the country because there are simply more than there are homes for.

Need to get your or the neighbor’s pet spayed/neutered?

For the 5th year in a row we are offering the community low cost spay/neuter voucher program thanks to our partnerships with Chester Co Animal Hospital, The Pet Care Center of Jackson, Old Hatchie Vet Clinic, Beech Lake Animal Hospital and My Animal Hospital and donations from the public including Picasso’s. You can submit your application for vouchers at funnyfarmpets.org and the link is under the community service tab.

Once I receive your application I will email you back with the price of the voucher and then once you confirm you want the voucher, I will send you a link to pay for the voucher. Once I receive the payment I can mail you the voucher or meet you with it.

Here is the way this program works: You purchase the voucher from us (prices will change with funding) but right now (6-11) vouchers are $75 for both cats and dogs. Once you have your voucher purchased you will contact one of the participating vets (listed above and on the voucher) to schedule your pet’s surgery. You tell them you have a Funny Farm voucher and need to schedule surgery. They will schedule your pet’s surgery and you bring the voucher in the day of the surgery and the vet will accept that as payment for the surgery only and will send us a bill for the remaining amount. These vouchers cover spay/neuter only and if your pet needs vaccines, testing, meds, etc; you will be responsible for those the day of the surgery. To be sure what you will be responsible for, you should ask the vet’s office when you schedule the appt so you are not surprised the day of the surgery.

The vet cannot tell you how many vouchers you can have from Funny Farm. They can only tell you that they only do a certain number of voucher surgeries per day. So be sure to let them know you have Funny Farm vouchers when you schedule appts.

If you would like to assist us with helping to reduce the massive pet overpopulation problem that has led to mass euthanasia, shelter overcrowding, and pets running loose, we would greatly appreciate your help. Donations can be made at funnyfarmpets.org or checks can be mailed to PO BOX 74 Pinson, TN 38366

Due to low funds and the fact that Jackson Animal Care & Control has vouchers for those living in Jackson/Madison Co TN we are excluding Mad Co residents this year. You just need to call or stop by to get a voucher from them.

Additionally, Beech Lake Animal Hospital and Chester County Animal Hospital have their own voucher programs so you can also look into those if you live in those areas.

The more you donate, the more lives we can save.

about us

We are a network of volunteer foster homes in West Tennessee working to save abused, abandoned, and unwanted pets that people have tossed out. We work day and night to provide the care that these pets need to get them back healthy both emotionally and physically so they can be adopted into loving homes. We are fighting a war due to mass overpopulation issues and sadly healthy adoptable pets are having to be euthanized daily. Over 99% of our adoptions are to the northeast because that area simply doesn’t have the massive overpopulation problem we have. And we are so thankful for our norther adopters. Since 2006 our ”northern angels” have adopted our southern sweethearts so we can continue to save more lives. We hope you will join this fight with us. Sometimes the difference between a pet living or dying is as simple as a $5 donation or a ’like, share or comment’ on social media. We can all make a difference. Please like/follow us on FB, Twitter and Instagram. We understand some are not comfortable adopting prior to meeting but that’s why we do many FB videos and can even put the videos on our YouTube channel so you can see the pets you are interested in and get a feel for them.

Thank you for your compassion and support. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these deserving animals.

our pets recieve more than just tlc

All pets in our rescue are spayed or neutered before they are adopted. We prioritize their health and well-being by providing a minimum of two core puppy or kitten vaccines. Additionally, puppies receive a Bordetella vaccine to protect against kennel cough. For pets over 12 weeks old, a rabies vaccine is also administered. Kittens are tested for FIV/FELV, and dogs over 6 months old undergo a 4dx test to check for heartworms, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis. If any positive results are obtained, We follow the vet's recommended treatment protocol to bring them back to health.

During their stay with us, pets receive heartworm, flea, tick prevention, and multiple deworming treatments. Each animal is also microchipped for identification purposes. When pets are ready to be adopted, they are accompanied by an envelope containing their comprehensive veterinary records and the next dose of heartworm prevention.

Our adoption fees vary depending on the type of pet. For canines, the fees range from $325 to $400, while felines range from $135 to $165. If the pet has to be transported from W TN dog transport is an additional $200 and cat transport is $115. Please note that Rhode Island adopters are required to add an additional $35 to the total fee due to import regulations.

These fee’s help us recover some of the costs of all the vetting the pets receive while in our care.

Most of our pets are located in Tennessee but can be transported to various destinations. We organize regular transport to northern states on a weekly basis. We focus on listing them in the northern states because they don't face the same overwhelming overpopulation issues that we encounter in the south. It's sad that approximately four million healthy and adoptable pets are euthanized yearly due to the lack of available homes.

We understand that some individuals may feel more comfortable meeting a pet before making the decision to adopt.  We provide videos on our Facebook page showcasing the pets in action to accommodate this and offer video calling with the foster parent.

By offering these resources, we aim to bridge the gap and help potential adopters feel more connected and informed about the pets available for adoption. Our ultimate goal is to find loving homes for these deserving animals.
